Rally-cross Races in Turkey
Rally cross and climbing racing are
short-term races organized mostly under a lower budget in 3 categories,
and are mainly suitable to amateurs where the driver is not assisted
by a co-pilot. In addition to the homologated automobiles that are
qualified for these kind of rallies, the old racing cars of which
homologations have expired are also qualified for taking part in
such racing contests within Category 3 in accordance with the regulations
pertaining to Group H.
TURKEY RALLY-CROSS CHAMPIONSHIP
Rally-cross racings of which usually
4 automobiles can simultaneously race are conducted on a race course
with the same start and finish lines on the basis of 5 runs in general.
The overall length of the race track should not be below 3 km or
above 6 km. The length of the race course can be at least 800 m
or at the most 2000 m. The width of the race course should be between
10 to 16 m. The start platforms can be placed somewhere outside
of the race track. The surface of the race course can be either
covered with asphalt, concrete or stabilized, grassy, pebbly, sand
or loose.
First of all, taking turns in a row is carried out in each category.
The first three contestants who rank in the first three rows are
directly qualified to race in the finals. The fourth pilot to race
in the finals will be the one who is the winner of the race that
takes place in the elimination group races. During the final, the
contestant who reaches the finish line wins the first place in his
category. Each contestant will gain a degree, even if he or she
does not reach the finish line.
Rally-cross racings are known to be a real challenge in the automobile
sport, since clashing of automobiles and mutual competitions are
frequent.
RALLY-CROSS CATEGORIES

cars and WRC's that are qualified for racing in Rallies within Group
