Özen secured two more victories! 13.08.2007

Opel Performance drivers did not slow down at the 7th and 8th races of the Turkish Track Championship.
Özen Özer at Group 1600, Berke Bayındır at Group 2000, and Alptekin Işıkalp at Group Maxi satisfied with their performances at the Gulf Track.
Özen Özer, racing under number “41” with his Group 1600 car, was the most competitive driver on the grid and he was faster than most of the Group 2000 cars and made the 5th best time of the day where both Group 2000 and 1600 started. In the second race of the day, Özen took the checkered flag in the first place and it was his eight win in the championship. From the beginning of the season Özen Özer, who showed stunning performance and beaten all the rivals scoring 80 points, continues his way to the title.
Erkut Kızılırmak, who is racing with Opel Astra in England, started in Group 2000 in these races. Erkut took the first spot in the first race where Berke Bayındır raced with Opel Corsa 1800. In the second race of the day, Erkut and Berke overtook their rivals in the same lap moving to the first and third spots respectively. Erkut Kızılırmak was overtaken by his rival in the final lap and was second while Berke Bayındır finished third.
Alptekin Işıkalp was racing in Group Maxi and with the touch of his rival at the start he was off the track. He flew approximately two meters off the ground, yet he was able to land on four wheels avoiding a massive accident but he was out of the race.
The next race of the Turkish Track Championship which is getting increasingly competitive and contentious this season will take place at Izmir Track on September 16.
