 Özen Özer won the title at the Turkish MER-TUR Rally Cross Championship Category 2 02.10.2006
Özen Özer won the title at the Turkish MER-TUR Rally Cross Championship Category 2. Özen, who participated in the Turkish Track Championship as an Opel Performance driver, also competed in the rally cross championship with the Opel Astra he managed. Özen Özer won the title although he could not participate in the sixth race at the Ankara Rally Cross Championship which was also the last race within the Turkish Rally Cross Championship because he was in Izmir racing at the track at that time.
Özen won the first place in 5 of 6 races he attended throughout the Turkish MER-TUR Rally Cross Championship. He guaranteed the title under the Category 2 before the actual final race of the championship. The Opel Performance team celebrated Özen’s success at category 2 of the rally cross championship right before the race in Izmir got started.
